I have finally completed my first ever choreography (Friend Like Me) and am ready to start teaching it!
Just going to make notes on where the little sections start and end so I can teach it in chunks.
Spank the baby on (4 eights)
First 12 eights, plus “life is your restaurant” bit. (16 eights)
“Pride ourselves on service…in the mood to help you, dude” + “Wahaha” section (12 eights)
“Can your friends do this…make the sucker disappear” (Genie does a lot of moving in this section!) (8 eights)
“So don’t you sit there slack-jawed buggy-eyed…genie for your chargé d’affaires” + “Powerful urge…rub like so” (8 eights)
“Mister Aladdin sir, have a wish or two or three…big nabob” + Coda: ah-shoop-ahs, “Never” stage right, “had a” stage left. (11 eights)
I have now written the word eights so many times it looks completely wrong…
Remember, Genie starts everything; he is the star of this show.
All I need to do now is finish editing the track (it seems I’m doing some audio engineering now, so that the music will work… The soundtrack version is a little slow and is missing some of the sound effects that I want, and the movie version is the perfect speed, but has some extra sound effects that just don’t make sense without the animation, so they need to go, and I need to splice the two versions together…) so it plays smoothly and we’re good to go!
